8 Assembly and Installation Safety
8.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the device from its packaging
- Inspect for any shipping damage
- Verify all components are present (see Table 1)
Damage Inspection
If the device shows signs of damage, do not power it on. Contact Summer Robotics for inspection and possible replacement.
8.2 Installation Requirements
- Mount the device securely using the provided mounting bracket
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the device
- Position the device so the laser aperture is not directed toward areas where people may be present
- Install in a location where the safety labels are clearly visible
- Ensure all connections are secure before applying power
Installation Warning
Do not install the device in a manner that requires personnel to look directly at the laser aperture during normal operation or maintenance.
